Controversy Works In Ferris' Favor

Bulldogs Capitalize On Golden Opportunity

BIG RAPIDS - Ferris was able to convert its second goal of the game as an linesman waved off an offsides call that ultimately led to a Zach Redmond goal.

The puck was close to past the blueline, but the linesman waved it off. Seconds later, Redmond drove the puck in the back of the net (off assists from Chad Billins and Brendan Connolly).

The goal, a power-play tally, was scored at 9:35 of the opening period to put Ferris up 2-1.

Ohio State coach John Markell was very upset with the feeling the puck crossed the blueline.
