Former Bulldog Goalie Coaches Ice to Clark Cup Title

Former Bulldog Hockey goalie Jeff Blashill just completed a whirlwind first season as head coach and general manager of the Indiana Ice of the United States Hockey League.

Blashill coached the Ice to their first Clark Cup championship by defeating the Fargo Force 3-games-to-1.

Blashill, from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, tended goal at Ferris from 1994-98 and was later an assistant coach for the Bulldogs under Bob Daniels. He coached six years as an assistant at Miami University before taking charge this season for the Indiana Ice.

Blashill's brother, Tim, another product of the FSU Bulldog hockey family, recently coached Big Rapids High School to a runner-up finish in the state championships.
