2011 MLK Legacy Award Nominations Deadline Has Been Extended

The 2011 MLK Legacy Award Nominations have been extended to Wednesday, Dec. 8 by 5 p.m.

2011 MLK Celebration Call for Legacy Award Nominations

On behalf of the 2011 MLK Celebration Planning Committee, we would like to encourage you to nominate an FSU student or registered student organization for the 6th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Award. The Legacy Award is one of Ferris’ highest student honors and is presented to a student or a registered student organization that exemplifies excellence in leadership, a passion for service, and have demonstrated a commitment to social responsibility in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Legacy Award was established for the first time in 2006 and was presented to two outstanding students. In 2009 the Legacy Award was extended to to include recognizing student organizations at FSU. After being reviewed by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Planning Committee, the winner will be announced at that 2011 MLK Student Tribute on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 6pm in the Rankin Student Center Dome Room.

The nomination window has been extended to Wednesday, Dec. 8.

Please include the nominated organization’s name/student’s name, your name and a brief description profiling the organization/student and why you feel they should be awarded the 2011 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Award.
