Festival of the Arts Presents Chainsaw Art with Jerry Ward
Ferris State University will be hosting Jerry Ward of Delton, Michigan who will be providing a artistic chainsaw carving on Jan. 28 at 4 p.m.
The event will be held in the Heavy Equipment Building Room 202.
For safe, but detailed viewing, a live feed of the demonstration will also be provided on closed circuit television at the event. This event is free and open to the public.
Ward has been working as a sculptor since 1974.
"I am among a handful of pioneers from the mid-70s to first use the chain saw in the wood carving process. Almost all of my wood sculpture begins with the use of the chainsaw," said Ward.
This event is brought to you by the Festival of the Arts Planning Committee.
