Explore Professional Options at the Career Choices Workshop Feb. 14

Are you rethinking your current program or having trouble finding a career path to follow? Attend the Career Choices workshop Thursday, Feb. 14 to see what professional options are best suit for you.
The career exploration put on by Ferris' Educational Counseling and Disabilities Services will help students identify their personality type and interests to determine a career fit for them. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take two nationally recognized career assessments.
The free workshop will also be offered on Feb. 19, 21, and 28. All workshops will be held  from 11 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. in Starr 324.

Festival of the Arts presents the annual Winter Band & Orchestra Concert: “Just for the Love of It”

 On Sunday February 17, students and community members have a chance to attend Just for the Love of it, the annual Winter Band and Orchestra Concert at Williams Auditorium. The concert starts at 4 p.m.

The FSU Symphony Band, West Central Concert Band, and West Central Chamber Orchestra will be performing under the direction of Dr. Richard Scott Cohen.  Ferris communications professor Donna Smith will be the emcee for the evening.

Two special guests from the New York based Grass Roots Trio will be performing as well; trumpet soloist, Thomas Boulton, and French horn soloist, Dan Wions.
The music will include songs from Les Misérables, Disney’s Aladdin, and much more. Musical selections will be focused on love in celebration of Valentine’s Day.

The event is free and open to the public. 

This concert is a part of the 2013 Festival of the Arts, an annual series of entertainment, educational and cultural events offered daily throughout February in Big Rapids.
