YBBW Meet and Greet Tonight

Join You Beautiful Black Women for an evening of food, drinks and fun! YBBW is hosting a meet and greet tonight at 6 p.m. in FLITE Library room 135. Come learn more about the organization and get to know the members on campus.
YBBYW is a registered student organization on campus with the purpose of unification through friendship, leadership, and scholarship. Their mission is to assist female students in regards to their families and communities as well as culturally enhancing Ferris State's campus. Ira Childress Speaks Tonight!

Ferris State Alumnus and former Bulldog football student-athlete Ira Childress will be speaking to campus tonight in Room 111 of the College of Business at 7:30 p.m.

Owner of Childress Sports Consulting will be speaking to athletes and students alike on the topic "Launching Your Career in the Sports and Entertainment Industry."

Come out tonight to listen to him speak.

Ferris State Dance Team Tryouts

Are you looking to get involved with a Registered Student Organization and a Club Sport on campus? Do you love to dance?

Ferris State University's Dance Team will be holding tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Multipurpose room in the Sports Complex. Students trying out should be prepared to practice and perform technique/skills and perform a short jazz, pom and hip hop routine. The dance team will be looking for people with good technique, ability to pick up choreography, ability to perform the styles they dance, and showmanship.

Those participating in tryouts should wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in and whatever type of dance shoe you prefer. The tryout fee will be $5 and no spectators will be allowed during the tryouts.

Homecoming 2013 King and Queen Candidacy Meetings

Any student that is interested in running for Ferris State University’s homecoming king or queen is required to attend one of the three important informational meetings.

The meetings will cover important information regarding the candidate process. Meeting will be held:
 Thursday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.  in IRC 107 
 Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. in IRC 107
To be able to run for king or queen attendance to one of these meetings is mandatory. 

The application deadline to run for king or queen is Wednesday, Sept. 11 by 12 p.m. There is a $25.00 fee that can be turned in at the Center for Leadership, Activities, and Career Services in the Terrace of Helen Ferris Hall and applications are due via OrgSync. 

Voting will start on  Oct. 2 at 8 a.m. and close on Oct. 3 at 11 p.m. on the Election Portal in OrgSync. Students must register for OrgSync and be a part of the Ferris State University Umbrella and Election Portal to participate.
