RX Run for the Pharmacy Care Clinic

The National Community Pharmacist's Association will be hosting a 5K run/walk to help raise money for the new Hope House Free Medical Clinic located in the FSU College of Pharmacy building.

The 5K will start in Hemlock Park on Saturday, Sept. 14. The course will take participants through Hemlock Park and North End Park and loop back to the starting point. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m. The fee to participate is $25 and all proceeds will benefit the clinic to help purchase flu vaccines and testing supplies. Door prizes will be given away and a T-shirt will be provided. Prizes will be awarded to first through third place male and female finishers in both the walking and running categories.

The Pharmacy Care Clinic is a free clinic that has served local patients, who do not have health insurance, for more than six years. The free clinic will be open every Tuesday and Wednesday.
